Baia do Sancho has been declared a Marine National Park and included in the UNESCO Natural Heritage List for its impressive biodiversity. On the northeast coast of the island, surrounded by green rocky walls and lapped by the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, is Baia do Sancho, a beautiful golden sandy beach that has been repeatedly described as «the best beach in the world.»

beautiful beach

Baia do Sancho is an exclusive crescent-shaped beach. It consists of fine sand, washed by the sea with a magnificent seabed inhabited by colorful fish, dolphins and sea turtles. It is a place with very few tourists because it is not very easy to get to. To lie on this beautiful sand, you need to overcome a small obstacle — go down a steep iron staircase inside a rocky crevice. The vertical path is so narrow that only one person can walk along it. In addition, you can rent a boat and get to the bay by sea.

The Fernando de Noronha archipelago consists of 21 islands of volcanic origin, which are part of an ancient underwater mountain range that has emerged. Its wild and untouched nature is protected by strict regulations, and the maximum capacity is 700 tourists per day. There is an entry fee known as the «environmental tax», which is $12 per person. The natural beauty and environmental preservation of this place, combined with its considerable distance from the mainland coast, make it one of the most remote destinations from mass tourism, but also one of the least economical holiday destinations in Brazil.
